Chambered in .44, this rifle was heavily used on the open frontier. The buttstock has been decorated with 21 old tacks, mottled black/brass in color. The action does function, but I would not suggest buying it as a shooter! As you can see in the pictures, it is well worn all over. Bore is rough at best, but rifling is still visible. Rifle appears complete, not missing any screws or other parts. Both stock and fore end have suffered a little shrinkage from moisture, but both are solid to the gun. Serial number looks to be 5 digit, 570xx. Buttplate is original and is solid as well. Old West history in your hand, right here! $35 shipping to the lower 48 and 3% surcharge for using a CC. SOLD |
