Description:
26" tapered round, lugged, factory-ported barrel. Fully figured walnut stock with rosewood forend tip, contrasting wood spacer lines, #1B point-pattern basketweave checkering and #9 checkering extension past pistol grip, rosewood pistol grip cap with contrasting wood inlay and spacer lines, Monte Carlo comb, sling studs, and original Weatherby recoil pad. Weatherby Mark V action with jeweled bolt and follower, two-panel checkered bolt knob and hinged floorplate. Weatherby Imperial 4x81 scope with fine crosshair reticle on Buehler mounts. Stock enhanced with inlay #3a on right butt, middle right and left and under forend---all with abalone. Extensive scroll engraving covering action, scope mounts, triggerguard, floorplate with gold elephant head, and extending over 12 inches up barrel and 3 inches back from muzzle. Pull: 13 7/8". Weight: 10lbs, 14oz. Built 1964. Virtually unused, retaining 99%++blue, a mirror-bright bore, and cocking piece beginning to turn a plum color---indicative of correct originality.
