Description:
Colt New Service "Custom Built" with all Colt parts. It has an early New Service barrel marked 44 Russian & Special on the left side which looks like the correct barrel mark for a pre-war gun but it's not marked Colt Firearms etc on the top of the barrel, so it could be an original Colt barrel that has been cut down and refinished. I didn't think with all of the modified items that getting a letter would be needed as it was put together from parts. The frame looks like a commericial frame, serial number 3213**, it had a lanyard but it was cut off. The cylinder is a Colt New Service 44 special cylinder, both the frame, barrel and cylinder are reblued. All of this part of the gun is in very good condition with 90% of the reblued finish, no signs of any rust or pitting and it works great. The grips are newer Colt checkered walnut wood grips with the Colt custom shop medallions, these grips are very nice looking and excellent condition. Comes in a decent wood presentation case fitted to this gun and it has a Colt emblem on the inside, I would think the case was made for the gun by an individule. The bore is excellent and the action works great, it's guaranteed to work as it's supposed too.
