Manufactured in 1973, this Model 870 Wingmaster Magnum is all-original and in great shape overall. It has a desirable 30" Inch ventilated rib barrel choked "Full". The factory original high polish blue finish is in excellent condition overall. The worst area of finish wear is actually on the magazine tube from contact with the pump when working the action, with only minor handling and high edge wear showing on the rest of the gun. You can see this in the pictures provided. The original checkered Walnut stock set is also in great shape. Both the forearm and buttstock are free from cracks or repairs and show minor handling/storage marks only. The original factory gloss finish on the wood is intact and still shows an attractive bright luster. The buttstock has a factory original Remington-branded recoil pad installed on it, and the length of pull is 14" inches to the end of the pad. The 30" inch barrel has a minty bright bore. The bore is free from pitting, dents, bulges, or any other imperfections. The ventilated rib is tight to the barrel and features a silver mid-bead and a silver bead front sight. The magazine tube even still has the original factory wooden plug in it to limit capacity to 3 rounds for hunting purposes. Everything on this Wingmaster works 100% like the day it left the factory in 1973. The action is super smooth and locks up tight, and the all of the controls are crisp and function perfectly. These 1970's production Remington Wingmasters are really some of the finest 870's that Remington ever built. The fit and finish is far superior to what is available today from them. This shotgun would make an excellent trap gun with the long barrel and full choke, or an excellent field gun in general that would give you some extended range. This is a classy and attractive gun that anyone can be proud to carry afield whether to the farm or to the trap/skeet field.
