HK P7 PSP
This is my dad's HK P7 PSP. I liked it so much that I bought my own P7M8, which I sold here recently. Unlike the P7M8, I don't know exactly how many times my dad used it (I know he took care of it the old-school way like a perfectionist mechanical engineer he was). I myself have only used it a few times, and it's in very good condition. Never misfired. No sign of mechanical fatigue or discoloration as expected for a handgun that may have been used more but very well maintained and used correctly.
From what I've heard, HK designed the M8 after the PSP because the NJ Police Department did not want the magazine release in the bottom corner. Additionally, the M8 has a heat shield, but for me I don't feel any difference. Otherwise, the two are essentially identical. Both have a fixed polygonal barrel made of cold hammer forged steel - as a former metallurgist, I can say this results in the best strength & reliability due to no heating in the manufacturing process.
