C&R “Harrington & Richardson” HAMERLESS in .38 S&W
DAO Hammerless Large Frame Revolver
Here we present a Harrington & Richardson Top-Break Hammerless Revolver in .38 S&W, made circa 1909 in Worcester, Massachusetts. This 5-Shot, .38 S&W revolver would have been a nice size to wear on a belt-holster for a civilian and perhaps even law enforcement. Its hammerless design makes it smooth and less prone to snag on the draw, just what one wants when concealing.
The top of the barrel is marked “HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON ARMS CO./WORCESTER, MASS. U.S.A”.
The left side of the barrel is marked “38 CAL S&W CTGE”.
The overall condition is fine. The original blue finish is about 60% with a dark plum patina developing. The markings are clear. The serial numbers match. The original H&R trademark hard rubber grips are in great shape and feature the bullseye target. The bore is sharp and bright. The action is excellent. Here is a great revolver from the beginning of the eventful 20th Century!
