The pistol's serial number is 14951. This pistol is a variation of the New House model Colts This is usually called the New Police model. The New Police pistols were fitted with the Cop And Thug Grips. This 38 Long Colt has the factory nickel plating. The plating is aged and is flaking in places. The nitre blued hammer, trigger,cylinder pin, and screws retain most of this stunning finish. The bore and chambers are in good condition. There is no pitting of the chambers or bore. The action works fine. The bullseye ejector head is intact. The hard rubber grips are in very fine condition. There is no cracks or chips with these grips. The checkering is sharp with sharp defined figures. The production run for this model Colt is very limited. It is estimated at 3500 to 4000 pistols. This is a fairly rare Colt to find today.
