#45968, Army & Navy C. S. L., London: A Back Action Sidelock Ejector 16 Bore Game Gun Made by Webley & Scott in 1906 and sold by Army & Navy in 1908, 28" Ejector Dovetail Lump Barrels with a rib extension dolls head & third bite, .665 .004 & .013" (Skt.I & Mod.), 2 1/2" chambers, Wall thickness on both the right & left barrels at .033", London proved with these bore dimensions, Bushed strikers, Double triggers, Splinter forend with an Anson frontal release, Straight hand stock at 14 3/8 x 1 5/8 x 2 3/16" over a checkered horn buttplate, Slight cast-off for the right hand, 5 lbs. 15 oz., Border engraving only, Very nice wood with excellent black/brown contrast; Mr. Hugh Lomas from Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin recently did a complete strip, clean & lubricate, adjusted the strikers and rust blued the barrels, The barrels now retain 100% black, A nice patina on the frame and locks, The wood remains very sound and is at 80% with a lot of honest handling marks, The checkering is at 75%, The bores are very good with some blemishes but no pits, The barrels are certainly solid and ready for a lot more shooting with the excellent wall thickness. It remains tight on the face and the barrels ring with a very nice chime.
