Early, rare Hawken special order rifle. Checkered stock, engraved with silver inlays. 36 inch barrel, 1" 3/16 flats. Letter from John D Baird, author of the " Hawken Book". Fine condition, one of the best of the few Hawkens known to exist. Rifle was appraised at $40,000. An historic piece of American frontier history.
