Made for Chas Heyer Ltd, a leading Kenyan outfitter and guiding company back in the heyday of Kenyan big game hunting, and so inscribed in silver inlay on the barrel. Gold band at muzzle and gold lions inlaid on the fully-engraved action and bottom metal, the engraving continuing on the barrel breech and front sight ramp. Banded rear express sight w one standing and 3 (unfiled) folding leaves. Finely checkered bolt knob and side safety button. Redfield one piece base Perfectly-checkered fancy fiddle-grained ?Claro stock. The rifle appears to be unused, or fully restored and restocked. No maker or engraver mark but the work looks to be American (punch dot American scroll). Reeks of mopane woodsmoke.
