Winchester Model 70 XTR Sporter in 300 H. & H. Magnum caliber it's the one with factory sights Serial number G18623** indicating it was made in 1988, this of course was back when it was made in New Haven, Ct. U.S.A.. This model was only offered in 300 H & H from 1989 to 1992 and the XTR Sporters had the XTR dropped of there name in 1989, some had the sights and some didn't so this is actually a fairly scarce rifle. It's in excellent condition retaining 98% or more of it's original finish. The only wear it has is a small amount of blue worn off on the bolt knob and it has a pin prick mark on the trigger guard otherwise in has all of it's blued finish. The bore and action are like new, it does come with the factory sights complete with the front sight hood. It also has 2 piece steel scope mounts that take the Leupold/Redfield type rings. The stock has 98% of it's semi gloss finish or more, it has several scattered marks on the right side of the butt stock, these are the only marks on the wood, no wear just these peck marks. The wood is very nice looking, it's got a nice warm reddish brown color and full cut checkering thats a contrasting darker color, it really looks great, better than the pictures show.
