Description:
Belgium made by Schlemmer, 12 gauge with 2-3/4 inch chambers and 27-1/2 inch barrels choked Improved Cylinder in each barrel. It has double triggers with automatic ejectors. The Side Lock action has beautiful scroll engraving with flowers and with relief carved recoil shields in a flower pattern. The reciever was case colored but the only color thats visable is on the water table inside the action, the outside of the reciever where the engraving is has turned a silver color that looks very nice. The barrels and opening lever are blued and retain 85% of that finish, the blued finish on the barrels is thinning where the hands contact them, no pitting or rust issues. The bores are in excellent condition, no dents or rust. It all works great and is a neat light weight shotgun, weighs in at 1 ounce over 7 pounds. The wood is very solid and a nice dark brown color, a fair amount of flame and fiddleback on both sides of the stock and with fine line checkering ( 24 lines per inch) on both the stock and on the splinter type forend. It's had a recoil pad added and the LOP is 14-1/4 inches over the pad to the front trigger, it's an older Pachmeyer pad that was professionally installed some time ago, the serial numbers all match.
