Westley Richards Sidelock Ejector 12g engraved by A.M. Brown. H&H style bar action sidelock with gold lined cocking indicators, two triggers and automatic safety. Lock plates are in a brushed finish with detailed game scenes of mallards and Canada geese on the lock plates, rose bouquets and scroll on the bottom of the action, along with carved oak leaf fences. Engraved and signed by A.M. Brown.
Chopper lump barrels are 28” with a smooth concave game rib, 2 ¾” chambers and choked ¼ and ½. Rib is marked “Westley Richards & Co. England”.
Stock is a highly figured Turkish walnut and has a straight hand grip and the 15 1/8” LOP measures to the center of a checkered butt. Splinter forend has an Anson push rod release and both the stock and forearm are checkered in a very finely cut, point pattern with mullered borders. Butt stock has traditional drop points and a blank gold oval in the butt.
A very well-made gun that remains in excellent condition and is engraved by one of modern English gun making’s best engravers. Gun is In the Maker’s oak & leather case w/ accouterments.
