Description:
The Ruger Gunsite Scout is a great adaptation of Col. Jeff Cooper’s vision of the ideal scout rifle. It has a forward mounted rail to allow you to mount modern optics that allow both eyes open quick target acquisition and has backup iron sights. It is a short and compact rifle chambered in a common military caliber and has a detachable magazine. With non-rotating, Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor that is the most positive case extraction system ever invented, and features a fixed blade-type ejector that positively ejects the empty cases as the bolt is moved fully rearward. This is the rifle to have if you can only have one.
