A true treasure of a rare 1866 nickel plated 3rd model Musket in the 84xxx serial number range.27" barrel with correct sling swivels.
?This gun appears to be original and correct. The bore is much brighter than normal with full rifeling rate it a strong 6 or light 7. and the bolt remain unconverted to center fire. Te receiver and butt plate are 90 percent plus covered in original nickel the barrel shows only traces here and there as do the original sling swivels. The mag tube and loading gate (mortise cover) appear to be blue perhaps it was ordered that way wit ha blue trim I am not for certain/ Original sights that are correct. Legible barrel inscription and no serious gouges or dings on the metal the wood appears to be original with less than normal wear and tear not mint but in far above average condition
