FACTORY ENGRAVED Antique COLT Open Top 22 Revolver
Fancy Gilded Age Pocket Carry Revolver
Here we present an antique Colt Open Top .22 Pocket Model Revolver, made in 1876. The Colt Open Top was a small frame, small bore, 7-shot, self-defense gun for the late 19th century. Production of this small revolver was very successful, but not many were engraved like this.
The overall condition is near fine. The original nickel finish is about 80%. The engraving and markings are sharp. The serial numbers match. The grips are in very good shape. The bore is in good condition. The action is functional, but indexing is intermittent. Here is a beautiful little pocket gun from the end of the 19th Century!
