Description:
9mm Luger; 92% blue, 70% straw, Good bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered brown plastic grips. All matching including both magazines. The magazines are unusual, being identical blue finish sheet steel magazines with aluminum bases. Described in Gibson's book as the type 3 (rarely seen) with an odd eagle/2 Krieghoff proof stamped right side up on the tail of the base. While these magazines look perfect with the same font style numbering and proofs, I am not 100% positive that they are original to the pistol. The top of the toggle is stamped with the Krieghoff HK anchor logo over KRIEGHOFF/SUHL and the top of the chamber is stamped with the date 1937. The right side of the receiver has two eagle/2 proofs flanking a Luftwaffe proof. Other Luftwaffe acceptance marks appear on the right side of the barrel and left side of the breechbolt. The bottom of the barrel near the serial number and front edge of the right side frame rail are also stamped with the eagle/2 proof. The metal finish shows sharp edge and high point holster wear. There is some lgiht thinning and minor surface spotting on the grip frame straps. The grips show some light wear and handling. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, showing frost throughout. C&R/FFL
