Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: This Remington Woodsmaster was manufactured in 1979 but could pass as having been made last week.  It is unfired and like-new, having spent it's entire life in storage.  The Remington Model 742 Woodsmaster was first made in 1960 and was produced for 20 years until 1980.  It is a gas operated semi-auto rifle with a 4-shot box magazine.  This Model 742 Woodsmaster is chambered in 30-06 caliber and has a standard 22" inch barrel with iron sights and a checkered American Walnut pistol grip stock set.  The factory gloss blue finish rates 99 to 100%, with zero wear or defects.  The original factory oil coating is still present on many areas.  While the receiver is factory drilled and tapped for a scope, the original plug screws are still in place and there has never been any bases installed on it.  All of the internals including the bolt face are spotless like the exterior.  The bore is minty and bright, with no pitting, erosion, or defects of any kind.  The rifling is still pristine with sharp lands and grooves.  The checkered American Walnut stock set is in like new condition as well.  There are no cracks, repairs, or handling marks visible except for one very tiny little scratch only visible under very close inspection.  This is so minor it would have passed inspection at the factory when new.  The gloss wood finish rates 99% plus, and the pressed checkering is crisp and clean.  The blued steel forend cap and ebony pistol grip cap are spotless and fit perfectly to the stock.  The buttstock has the original Remington-branded black buttplate and white spacer intact and in excellent, like-new condition.  The length of pull is 13.5" inches to the end of the buttplate.  As you can imagine, everything on this Woodsmaster works 100% like the day it left the factory.  All of the controls and action are crisp and function as they were designed to.  This Remington Model 742 comes with the original box with the serial numbered end-label still intact.  The box still contains the anti-rust wrapping paper, the styrofoam inserts, the owner's manual, and the factory supplied chamber brush.  The box was stored seperately from the rifle and is a little beat up but still intact.  If you have been looking for a mint condition Model 742 Woodsmaster for your collection, here is your chance to get one of the best in existence.  It would be impossible to find one in better condtion or more complete than this example.               SOLD Manufacturer: Remington Model: Model 742 Woodsmaster Serial Number: B7220308 Caliber Info: 30-06 Bore: Mint Condition: Mint Barrels: 22" Inches LOP: 13.5" Inches Manufacture Date: 1979 Extras: Original box, manual, chamber brush, etc.
