It had just 23 largely stamped and turned steel parts that were cheap and easy to manufacture. It fired a .45 caliber pistol cartridge from an unrifled barrel. Due to this limitation, it was intended for short range use, 1–4 yards. Its maximum effective range was only about 25 feet. These were to be used to take a gun from a German soldier so you would have something better to fight with. Metal has been cleaned and is missing the floor plate. Still a good representative piece for your WW2 collection. Leroy Merz Antique Firearms specializes in antique and vintage Winchesters and other fine American firearms.
