Up for sale today is a US Springfield M1 Garand serial no. 5886122 chambered in caliber .30-06. This excellent late-production M1 Garand shows outstanding original finish overall on both wood and metal components. The rifle has a barrel date of “SA 5-55,” a throat erosion of 2.5 and a muzzle wear reading of 1. The bore is mint, showing a fine mirror polish. An outstanding late-production Garand, rifles in this condition are becoming hard to find.
