Enfield (Jungle Carbine),No. 5 Mk.1, Cal. 303, Ser.AC 5884. I don't normally get involved with these carbines, however this vet bring back made at the Fazackerly Arsenal in England is in exceptional condition. If you ever wanted one of historic guns this is an outstanding example... No Import marks, not a parts put together, o ra converted "Ishapore, India" gun. It retains about 98-99% of the original arsenal finish. The bolt appears to have amatching 84 poorly stamped on the handle. The left side if the butt socket is stamped with two Broad Arrow proof marks. The front barrel band is stamped, M 47 A, Broad Arrow. The left front of the barrel is marked with the usual British proof test results.The stock is also in very fine condition. It has retained about 95-96% of the original lacquer finish.There are no chips dings or splits anywhere. The left side does have a a small dark stain. The bolt handle has not grayed, the guide rails and feed ramp do not show any significant use The bore like the rest of the gun is super. The bore is sunshine bright wit razor sharp rifling. This little estate gun is just outstanding. Should be real fun at the range or in a collection....... $795.
