Rare opportunity to own a long range/international match gun made by one of the premier gunsmiths of the first half of the 20th century.
Signed A.O. Niedner custom long distance heavy rifle barrel in 30-06 caliber mounted on a 1903 receiver. The receiver has been modified to accept dual set adjustable triggers. This is a complete long distance shooting system which allows you to choose one of several options for sights. To replicate sighting systems and the hook base would require an expenditure of nearly $2000.
There are two iron sight systems (A) Lyman 48 S Long slide rear sight with a Lyman detachable front sight globe complete with inserts (B) Vintage Redfield International Palma Match set complete with globe front sight, mounting hardware and operating instructions. Palma base has been mounted on left side of receiver.
For long distance shooting there is a Lyman Targetspot 20x with recoil spring and mounting rings (bases mounted on rifle). Optics are clear and crosshairs are clear (nearly impossible to photograph). A copy of the operating instructions will be included. Scope has its own wooden case and will be sent separately.
Butt plate is an adjustable Canjar Hook mounted to a custom bedded wood stock which has been adjusted to accept the dual triggers and the Lyman long slide sight.
