M1 Carbine Saginaw S'G' (Grand Rapids) - SN#1791265 - This was manufactured around 1943 - Barrel markings are Rock-ola dated 1-43 - Front sight has N stamped, rear sight is the early type with S stamped on it on left side, right side is stamped with B-S'G' - Type 2 swivel marked KV S'G' also has 3 weld spots - On rear receiver Saginaw S'G' below that SN#1791265 - Overall the barrel is a gray patina in nice condition - Trigger housing has S' G' - Hammer has SG, Safety has E S'G' - Magazine catch has E S'G' - Sears SW S'G' - Trigger has SG - Flat bolt has SG - slide has SG - inside of slide with numbers - recoil plate underneath has W S'G' - some of these items can be seen in the photos - Stock is a reddish brown with no cracks, right side of stock has a S in a square, the G is faded and there is a quotation mark above the S - Ordinance circle half of it shows - Handguard is stamped RSG and sling well is stamped RSG - The stock has an oval sling cut - The stock is high wood, overall the stock and the hanguard match with a reddish brown - Butt plate has PM and S'G' - The barrel bore is in very good condition - This is not an Import - This is a rare rifle - If you are going to shoot this rifle make sure a gunsmith checks it out.
