Description:
A very rare Parker Bros.DHE grade 20 gauge with 30" Titanic steel barrels. This gun is unusual in that it was ordered with open chokes.According to the factory letter, the gun was ordered to shot 55% in the right barrel and 65% in the left. The actual choke dimensions are .005" in the right and .015" in the left. The gun has a straight grip stock, skeleton buttplate, double triggers, and ejectors. The bores are mint with no pits or rust. The barrels are on face and lock up tightly. The receiver retains traces of the original case colors and has excellent engraving. The water table and forend iron retain strong case colors. The gun was built in 1918 and was ordered with 25/8" chambers, which it still has.The stock dimensions remain unaltered at 141/4"LOP,15/8" at comb, and 21/2" at heel. The wood is sound with no cracks or damage.Just a few light handling marks from 100 years use.The gun was built on an O frame and weighs 6-8.This is a classic Parker bird gun with some very unusual features in all original unaltered condition. This gun is not a safe queen. This is a classic Parker that is nice enough to be proud off,but not too nice to shoot and enjoy.Fully authenticated and original.C&R eligible.
