Description:
***   SOLD   ***   This Italian wand was made in 1979 by Ferlib who specialize in making boxlocks. They are part of the Filli Rizzini family which commercially is one of the top gunmakers in Italy if not the world. It is Ferlib's "Italia" model and is stocked in a nicely figured piece of European walnut, and at 5lb 8oz it is a deadly little quail, grouse and woodcock gun. Easy to carry and lethal.   ***   The frame is fully engraved in Ferlib’s signature tight scroll. This double is on face and in excellent condition. It has double triggers, auto ejectors, and a non-auto safety. The quick handling 26” barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells and topped by a raised solid hand cross hatched rib. The left barrel is bored 0.565 and with a constriction of 0.013 is choked a tight Modified. The right barrel is also bored 0.565 and has a constriction of 0.007 for Improved Cylinder choke.   ***   The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured walnut. The checkering is crisp. Stock dimensions are 14-3/4” over a 1/2” rubber butt pad by 1-1/2” by 2-3/8”. This gun has a lot of cast off but a competent gunsmith should be able to bend to fit its new owner.  ***   Ferlib produces doubles in limited numbers so few are available at any one time. This is your chance to own a really nice small bore from a great Italian maker. Isn’t it time to reward yourself?   ***   Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection period and will only accept returns at buyer’s expense if the gun is not as described in the listing.
