Description:
This is a no letter suffix Radom with Nazi proofs.  It has honest wear but no rust or pitting, with about 80% finish left - all original and matching.  In his book on Radoms, William York postulates on page 147 that not ALL Nazi navy Radom's had the stick wing eagle and M insignia on the left side of the frame.   Data from the factory shows that many more went to the Navy than were so marked by the Naval Arsenal.  These "other style" Navy Radom's are characterized by being in the no letter block or early A or B block.  Also, the navy ordered them without the lanyard loop at the bottom of the frame, and finally they had a blued barrel/ejection port, where normally these barrels would have been in the white/silver unfinished color.  This Radom has all of the correct characteristics of a NAVY issue Radom, without the Navy insignia on the frame.  This is discussed in the Radom book,  pages 146 - 150.  The bore shows wear and frosting, about the same condition as the gun.   It would rate about a 5 out of 10.
