Description:

This Historical U.S. Cavalry Model 1873 Colt Single Action Army comes with a "Colt" Archive Letter. It is .45 caliber, 7.5" barrel. Has very nice original cartouche'd grips  that  are original and numbered  to the revolver. . Revolver is in very good condition displaying  grey/brown patina with approx. 25% original blue finish remaining in and around protected areas.  Has crisp action and indexes properly. Top of barrel is marked  with the one-line address, and he left side of frame is marked with the three-line, three-patent dates followed by "US".  Sharp markings including "D.F.C." inspection markings on the under side of barrel, the bottom of frame, and side of cylinder. A "P" proof mark is stamped on underside of the barrel in front of the sub-inspection mark on the side of the cylinder. The complete matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard, and back strap, and partial serial number "0491" is on the underside of the barrel under the ejector housing and on the cylinder. The loading gate is marked with the assembly number "425". The frame and hammer are case hardened and the remaining parts are blue/brown patina.  Fitted with a smooth one piece walnut grip with "1887" over a cartouche on the left side and a boxed cartouche is on the right side.Manufatured in 1887.    The bore is excellent and bright.  The action is   strong and indexes properly.Buyer Pays $25.00 shipping to the lower 48 states.
