VERY UNUSUAL SPECIAL ORDER 1894 CARBINE IN RARE .32-40 CALIBER, $647XXX, MADE 1913. Seldom seen features on any carbine include the 2/3 magazine, steel carbine butt plate and no provision for a saddle ring. Barrel shows fine lightly thinning blue with the mag tube a deeper blue, the receiver mostly flaked and thinned to a blue/gray with some good blue on the loading gate and a couple of very small areas of freckling that looks like it was cleaned at one time- minor, exc. stock and forend with tight wood to metal fit, original carbine ladder sight with slide intact, tight action and bore that will clean out to exc. A rare configuration in any 1894 carbine, but especially so in .32-40 caliber which had the lowest production number in the carbine model.
