If you have been looking for the very best factory production rifled slug gun out there that doesn't cost a fortune like a custom model, this is it! This is a Browning A-Bolt Stalker model 12 gauge rifled slug gun. This rifle uses the super accurate and well built A-Bolt II action mated to a precision-rifled 22 inch barrel. It features an adjustable rear target style sight with a Tru-Glo fiber optic front sight, a detachable box magazine that holds 2 rounds, an adjustable trigger, and a low luster blue finish with a Dura-Touch treated synthetic stock. This model quickly earned a reputation for being very accurate and reliable shortly after Browning introduced it in 1995. Two issues that have always plagued slug guns making them less accurate are that the barrel is typically not permanently attached to the receiver on shotguns, and the lack of a solid recoil lug. This model eliminated both of those flaws by using a threaded barrel permanently attached to the action, and a solid recoil lug mounted between the barrel and receiver. These 2 features combined with a high quality rifled barrel and the proven short bolt throw A-Bolt II action resulted in an inherently accurate slug gun that feels more like a centerfire big-game rifle. Browning only made the first run of these from 1995 to 1999, and after numerous requests began making this model again in 2011 until discontinuing it for a second time in 2016. When these were being made the suggested retail for the gun only with no optics or mounts was $1,150, making it pricey but not nearly as much as a custom maker slug gun. This example is serial number 01167ZZ151, the "ZZ" is the two digit date code for the year of manufacture which is 2011. It is in like-new, minty condition with no signs of carry or use. It is possibly unfired since being test fired at the factory. The factory blue finish rates 99% and the bore is in minty new condition. The rifling is clean with sharp lands and grooves and there is no pitting or erosion. The bolt face looks pristine with no signs of having been fired. The stock is in excellent like-new condition as well with no signs of carry or wear. The length of pull is 14 inches to the end of the pad. This A-Bolt II Stalker comes complete with a like-new Nikon Prostaff 2 to 7 power scope mounted on Weaver style bases. The optics are crystal clear and all the adjustments work perfectly.
