Description:
This is an 1831 Springfield rifle that was a flint lock and converted to a percussion cap as i'm told. the barrel has been shortened as well as i'm told. this has been in our family for 70+ years. I inherited this gun about 25 years ago and i am not a gun collector or affincianto so i would like it to go to a good home. This gun functions as it should but it has not been fired in my lifetime but was told by my grandfather, whom i got the gun from, that it works. The stock has the name "Samual Richads" carved in it. Please message me with any questions and I'll try to answer but I don't know much more about it.
