PENDING>> The "Old Old Model Russian" was developed for the Russian Government in 1871 and is the same design as the Model 3 American, except it was designed to fire the .44 S&W Russian cartridge. >>> (with copy of the historical foundation letter) >>>This revolver, is a "Commercial First Model Russian". The revolver is mostly a soft gray patina with blue in the protected areas. The gun indexes, ejects and fires perfectly. All matching barrel, cylinder, and latch. The grips are numbered to another S&W. In very good overall condition. Antique, made and shipped from the Smith & Wesson Factory in 1873.
