STEYR (Austrian) N. Pieper design (Belgian design) 6.35 mm semi-automatic pistol. Near mint condition. Great markings: Right side PAT. ENGL.no. 16715-08. (cross) No. 40335. N. PIEPER PATENT Left side PAT. No. 9379-06 Under that "19." On left frame OESTERR.WAFFENFABRICKS-GES. / STEYR. Wonderful condition hard plastic grips with the "OWG" badge and STEYR (in a banner) On left frame, above trigger guard "72641 A" Only place I see the s/n. Overall dimensions 4 5/8" X 3 1/8" Near perfect blued finish. Can't find much about this pistol but is is bound to be early 20th Century. Interesting design: barrel is UNDER the recoil spring in a common housing, see last photo.
