Smith Cavalry Carbine in overall very good condition. All metal parts are smooth and clean with sharp markings.Barrel retains most of its original blued finish without any pitting, Rifled bore is very good, and stock is also very good with most of original finish and sharp cartouche on left wrist. Gun is mechanically excellent. A well above average Smith Carbine that most dealers would have priced between $2200 and $2500. Serial number 8275, an early war issue.
