Description:
This rifle is an accurized Remington M700 short action chambered for the 6mm BR Remington cartridge. It has a Hart #5-1/2 SS barrel, 24 in. long. The action was blueprinted and the chamber cut by Hart. The stock is a synthetic MacMillan Fibergrain Remington M700 model. LOP 13-1/2 in. with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. The action is glass bedded with pillars, with the barrel free floated for the entire length, with the work done by MacMillan. All of the metalwork , except the center of the bolt body, was given a Birdsong Black T coating. The scope rings and bases were also coated with Black T so that all the metal matches. It is shown with a scope , however the scope is not included (the mounts are). The gun will consistently shoot 5 shot, 3/8 in. groups at 100 yds. (or better, since I am not a benchrest shooter). Test targets included. Weight 10&1/4 # without scope. The barrel was broken in properly and cleaned thoroughly after each session. L/N condition. Fired about 100 times for load development only. It was never used off the range. The stock, although synthetic, looks like a beautiful piece of wood. Included are 2&1/2 boxes of brass fired from the rifle.. It's a one-of-a-kind gun that shoots as well as it looks.
