Description:
Rare and hard to find collectable M & H open top, large frame revolver that is in good working order with matching numbers (serial and assembly #'s) . 30 % + original nickel. Serial #6202 (circa1879) Assembly # 3835. 5" barrel, professionally shortened (factory ?). Bore excellent with strong wide lands. Traditional scoop flutes. Mechanically good; short half cock. The unique disassembly feature for ejecting spent cartriges works fine. Original lanyard ring. Original curly maple wood grips, worn but some checkering is visible; chip off left panel and minor crack. Barely visible ornate inscribed name inside both panels. This old revolver shoots good, using 44 Russian cases loaded with light black powder. There is a growing interest in these old M & H revolvers making them a good investment, plus a great conversational piece. Please ask questions. Buyer pays all shipping, Priority mail in the US, $25.
