We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Shipping insurance is available upon request for an extra fee. We cannot do international sales. As of November 2019, we no longer ship guns to California and Hawaii.

The Winchester Model has been a staple of American hunting and target competition since its introduction in 1936. In 1963 a few changes were made to the design, and the first of the newer rifles were produced in 1964. This led to the terms “pre-64” and “post-64”. While there has been much debate over the years about which version is “better”, the fact remains that both are excellent rifles in their own right. In fact, the Model 70, in any variation, is well known for its accuracy and quality. Chambered for the legendary .270 Winchester cartridge, the rifle shown above would be a perfect one-gun rifle. When it was introduced in 1925, the cartridge was not an immediate success likely due to its odd diameter. However, over time, particularly since WWII, the cartridge has gained a great deal of popularity It has been used for hunting and target competition. Currently, the .270 is offered in many different bullet weights making it suitable for hunting a wide variety of game ranging from varmints to larger game such as elk and moose. For long range shooting the .277-caliber projectiles have a high ballistic coefficient allowing them to retain accuracy and energy out to distant targets. The M70 shown above is the Deluxe Model. It features a nicely hand-checkered stock with decorative patterns and a black forend tip. It is equipped with a Tasco 10-40x50mm scope. The adjustable portion of the rear sight has been removed so as not to affect the scope’s sight picture. The rifle is in excellent condition given its age and it looks beautiful. If you are looking for a classic hunting rifle for use against a wide range of game, the Model 70 in .270 Winchester is an excellent choice.
