Description:
30 Luger; 95% blue, 70% straw, excellent bore, very good grips, 4'' barrel, These Latvian contract pistols are notoriously difficult to verify, as to exact delivery by Mauser for a "Latvian contract". According to the book "The Mauser Parabellum 1930-1946" this pistol falls into a serial number range 5001v-5150v which was ordered 6/16/1939 and bears most of the characteristics of those pistols. Original blue finish, strawed small parts, checkered walnut grips are not numbered. All matching except the magazine, which is a sheet steel variation with unmarked aluminum bottom. The toggle is stamped with the 5-line Mauser banner logo and is dated 1938 on the chamber. Oberndorf crown/U proofs appear horizontally on the left side of the receiver, end of the front sight base, and left side of the breechbolt. The rear sight has a U shaped sight notch, the front sight has a square blade. The metal finish shows light high point holster wear with some thinning and minor spotting on the grip frame straps. Our return policy lasts a maximum of 3 days from the time you receive your item.
