The 1884 Springfield Trapdoor rifle is the updated model of the Springfield 1873 which marked the conversion from muzzle-loading rifles to metallic cartridge breech loading rifles. The most visible update on the 1884 rifle is the adoption of the Buffington rear sight. Comes with a reproduction sling.
