Serial number 60XXX, it is one of the earliest AH grade shotguns made by Parker, and according to The Parker Story, it is the first AH grade shotgun made with a two barrel set. At the time, AH was the highest grade shotgun made by Parker. It was made for prominent businessman and banker Emison Chanslor of Lexington, MO.
The engraving on every componet is very fine compared to Parker's later AH grade shotguns. The frame is engraved with tight scrolls; setters on one side and pointers on the other along with pheasants. The fences are engraved with ducks and scrolling. The engraving is exceptional. There are seven finely engraved birds; some sitting on fence post with other feeding in grass. The TG is engraved with two dogs in a mountain scene.
The barrels are the finished 6 blade damascus 30" and 28" long. The 28" set is choked ia a IC/Skeet range while the 30" set in the modified range.
The stocks are exceptionally figured walnut.
This shotgun has been completely restored by the late Brad Bachelder. The restoration took several years and the shotgun has only ben test fired since restoation. I have included some photos taken during the restoration process to show detail of engraving. Also please note the photos here are of the best quality I could take. The CCH on the shotgun is not as bright as shown in the photos. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling costs.
