Winchester Pre ‘64 Model 70 Super Grade Bolt Action Rifle
300 Win Mag, 24” barrel with a bright bore. The barrel retains 99% plus original blue finish. The receiver retains 99% original matte black finish having just a few faint handling marks and displays a Winchester proof mark. The floor plate which is marked “SUPER GRADE” and triggerguard retain 99% original blue finish having some slight wear on the edges and having a few light scratches. The bolt handle retains 99% blue and the body remains bright showing all its original jewelling, the bolt is numbered to the gun. The checkered Walnut Monte Carlo pistol grip stock with a left side cheekpiece and ebony forend tip rates excellent displaying just a few light dings over a strong factory varnish that shows some light flaking, the forend tip shows some added finish. The stock is fitted with Super Grade sling swivels and original red Winchester hard rubber recoil pad. Rifle is sighted with its original hooded front sight and folding leaf rear sight. An excellent example of a 1963 (only year) produced Super Grade Pre ‘64. See photo #15 for under barrel stamp “300M” and “ SUPER”, and stamp on the recoil lug of receiver “ .458 “ and reversed S.
