Colt purchased the rights to the Melvin Forbes designed Ultra Light Rifle in 1999 and contracted SACO in Maine U.S.A. (not SAKO) to manufacture them.There were some early issues that were addressed however, the rifle did not meet expectations and manufacture was stopped in 2000.They are good rifles and normally shoot very well. Mr Forbes has re-established his firm under the name New Ultra Light Arms where parts may be available.
