This ia a Detective Special shipped oct.22 1931 to the Rochelle Police Dept, Rochelle Park, New Jersey.Ser# 403,225 with Letter and Box.The numbers on the box were scratched off some but seem to be some what ledgable. There is no lable on the box and it seems it never had one? the lid is rough but works fine. It is what it is. The action works fine and tight. The bore is minty as well the interior of the cylinder. This piece has seen a lot of use and holster wear. the front and back strap are a brown patina. the rest of the finish is original blue with wear marks and honest use. A interesting piece of Police Department history in New Jersey in 1931. I Have a few more police guns not listed yet. Call with any questions. Tom 612 859 5673
