Description:
Shiloh Sharps Number 3 Sporter in 45/70 30" Full Octagon. ol 1989 vintage rifle built within a few months of the famous Quigley rifles Tom Selleck used in his movie. Superb older Shiloh quality. This rifle is in as new condition and looks to be unfired. This era of production is rare amoungst Shiloh Sharps ,as it carries the "OLD RELIABLE" stamp on the Barrel. VERY traditional configuration typical of origional 1870s Sharps rifles Straight grip Hartford military buttstock with doubleset triggers. The rifle DOES have a modern SAAMI spec chamber and should be very accurate with all 45-70 loads. This rifle has dark handselected walnut with beautifull case colors on the metalwork. 30" standard weight full octagon barrel with globe front sight and nice windage adjustable Pedersoli made Vernier tang sight. $200 extra invested in just the sights. The rifle weighs 10.25 lbs as shown..Semi fancy crotch figure in the butt stock. This.rifle would be a great all around Sharps for hunting and target work. Current replacement cost on this rife is $,2500 when the wood figure and sight upgrades along with excise taxes and shipping are all added up. This gun will save you $500 and Two years of wait time.
