Payment Types Accepted: Credit Card, Certified Check, Money Order Description: EAST INDIA COMPANY Marked Pattern 1842 Musket With Rampant Lion Lock Here we present an antique East India Company Pattern 1842 Percussion Musket, made circa the 1840s. This musket was based on the British Brown Bess flintlock musket that was in previous use for decades. This musket would have served with the East India Company in an official capacity over the next several decades of the 19th Century. It is very likely that it was witness to the Indian Mutiny in 1857. This musket shows signs of use well after it was made obsolete, likely in Indian hands. The lock is marked with the Rampant Lion motif of the EIC. The overall condition is fair. The metal surfaces bear a very dark patina. The stock is very dark with age and possibly grease from storage. The toe of the stock has an old chip and the wrist features an old, somewhat primitive repair. The fore end cap is absent, and wire keeps the barrel tight with the end of the stock. The smooth bore is dark and untouched. The action is strong. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 32 inches. Caliber: .75 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail!
