Description:
A member of the true "OLD WEST" club, is the Smith & Wesson 2nd. Model American in .44 Henry Rim Fire. The revolver is fitted with two piece Ivory grips and an 8 inch Barrel, all Original to this Old Hogsleg.
Most all of these Rimfire Revolvers were shipped to Wexel & DeGress in Mexico City and to South America. The Serial number 12462 is stamped on the butt with the assembly number stamped on the barrel latch, barrel and rear face of the cylinder.
Good bore, with an uncleaned patina finish that has scattered fine surface spots and a few shallow pits. . This revolver is Chambered for .44 Henry Rim-Fire, and is in exceptional mechanical condition... The break open action works 100% correctly each and every time. The working action... cocking, indexing, and locking are also perfect. Antique Pre-1898
