Description:
1887 leather carbine boot with Rock Island Arsenal imprinted on it. This is the type with the brass guard on the front. It does have the lower mounting strap but not the upper one. The leather is extremely good for it's age. Hardly any deterioration or cracks. On the back is some old soldier art. Appears to be an arrowhead and a couple of letters that were lightly done over and crossed out. The front is excellent. Nice accessory to add to a Springfield collection!
