Description:
This is a very crisp Colt 1877 Lightning 38 L Colt with etched panel. The mechanical function is very good, crisp and tight. The bore is very good, bright and shiny with strong rifling. The checkered original grips and very fine. The trigger guard and back strap retain 70% blue and the frame has 65% case colors. The serial number is 34318 and is matching. The hammer and cylinder retain 45% blue and the barrel about 20% blue. The etched panel is faint but can be seen. This is an above average 1877 and was made in 1881.
