Description:
Extremely rare and interesting single shot 8x65R Vierordt rifle. 25.5" Octagon to round barrel in some sort of anti corrosive steel that only plum browns when bluing was applied. Bore is excellant, LOP 13.5" It is a propietary caliber but is easily made from 9.3x72R brass and a full box of ammo and extra formed brass come with the gun. Falling block is actuated by pulling down on the ring in the forearm of the stock. Points and fits nicely and shoots well. There is an article in the German Gun Collectors Association publication specifically on this model gun and there is information online about Gustov Kersten. The rib is marked Vierordt & Co. and the barrel flats are marked by the retailer Marke in Luchs. Luchs translates from German to Lynx in English. A real collector piece of a unique nature.
