Description:
We are offering for sale a Parker Brothers BH Grade SxS shotgun chambered in 12 Ga. This shotgun comes with a (2) barrel set; All serial numbers match! This is a scarce shotgun with only 700 BH grades manufactured (Blue Book of Gun Values, p.1395). This gun was manufactured in 1899.
The shotgun is in very good overall condition. Receiver is beautifully engraved with a pair of hunting dogs on both sides and bottom. Case colors remain in several places, most significantly on the bottom side. Watertable is clearly marked with a “5” and “B” for BH grade. The shoulder stock is good with a couple minor cracks on either side of the heel; These are an easy fix for an experienced gunsmith. Raised fluer de lis on either side of the breech release lever. Deep checkering is excellent on straight grip. Skeleton buttplate with strong checkered stock showing in the middle. Gold engraving plate shows no mono.
Shotgun comes with (2) barrel sets; BOTH SETS ARE TITANIC STEEL.
1. 30” barrels. Choked Full, Full. Condition is very good. 75% Original bluing with scattered wear. Front bead sight. Solid rib. Perfect bores!
2. 28” barrels. Choked IMP, IMP. Condition is very good – excellent. 85% Original bluing with scattered wear. Front bead sight. Solid rib. Perfect bores!
Overall this is a very scarce and highly collectible example in what appears to be complete original condition. Gun will be shipped in original Leg O’ Mutton case. Case is in fair condition with several tears, etc.
