Description:
WWI Military Colt 1911 US Property Made in 1918 (Black Army) in excellent-fair condition. Not import marked, original finish, no major finish wear on the gun except for front and back straps, which is typical due to fragile finish applied at that time. Colt was under pressure to produce a significant number of guns for US troops fighting in WWI. Though the quality of the gun was excellent, the black army finish wasn't of high quality.
